On May 23, 2023 The Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America announced it raised more than $1.7 million after completing its 27th anniversary ride. All funds received benefit Victory Junction, which is the camp in Randleman, North Carolina dedicated to Kyle Petty’s late son, Adam. The camp services children with chronic medical illnesses, and all donations support summer campership programs, building projects, and maintenance programs including upkeep of the Kyle Petty Charity Ride Water Park.
Former NASCAR driver turned racing analyst & commentator, Kyle Petty, led motorcyclists on a week-long run, which covered 1,500 miles across Nevada & Utah. The Ride started and ended in Salt Lake City, and made overnight stops in Ely, Tonopah, and Las Vegas, NV along with Cedar City & Moab, UT.

Cynthia Davis -The Kyle Petty Charity Ride thank Ely for hosting a great event.
Highlights of the 2023 ride included a visit to the Bonneville Salt Flats, traveling the Loneliest Road in America (Hwy. 50), experiencing an off-road Jeep tour in Tonopah, shutting down Las Vegas Blvd. with a police escort to The Mirage Hotel & Casino, laps on the track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, experiencing scenic Highway’s 12 & 14, passing through Capitol Reef National Park, receiving the first-ever “Key to the City” in Hanksville, UT, touring the Legends Motorcycle Museum, and much more.
Funds were gathered from fans along the route, as part of the Ride’s “Small Change. Big Impact.” program, as well as donations made by sponsors, organizations, and the riders themselves. Since the first “Ride”, donations have helped Victory Junction mobilize resources to provide over 115,000 camp experiences, for children who are living with complex medical conditions, at no cost to their families. Victory Junction’s REACH program takes the camping experience to children and their families at hospitals, clinics, and who stay in the Ronald McDonald Houses throughout North & South Carolina.
