Arda Ruth Blackham Drake, Beloved Wife, Sister, Mother, Grandma and Aunt went to heaven on Wednesday, June 19, 2024.
Ruth was born on April 5, 1949 in Mt. Pleasant, UT to Montel H. Blackham and Arda June Allred Blackham. Ruth was raised in McGill, NV and attended White Pine High School graduating in 1967. It didn’t take long for her to find the love of her life and married Clyde Russell Drake on December 15, 1967. Together they had 3 children, Kathy, Russell and Randy.
Ruth was well known from her 25 + years of work at the Sagebrush Texaco. She enjoyed all of the friendships she built over the years and spoke of many of those friendships often.
Anyone that visited with Ruth at the house, knew her love for John Wayne and feral cats, or any animal in need of a home.
Ruth is survived by her Children; Kathy Broderson (Bert), Russell Drake (Shasta), and Randy Drake. Grandkids: Heather Broderson (Rex), Shelby Broderson (Becca), Dillon Broderson, Aaron Drake (Briana) Easton Drake (Kamrin), Trevon Drake and Natosha Drake. Great Grandkids; Bailee Mike, Parker Mike, Oakley Broderson, Amanda Lawyer, Samantha Lawyer, Lola Drake, Aryiann Drake, KayLeah Drake, Beckett Drake, Timber Drake and Siblings; Elaine Blackham and Steven Blackham as well as several nieces and nephews that she was very close to.
Ruth is preceded in death by her husband Clyde, her parents Montel and Arda, as well as her siblings: Judy Smith, Cindy Adams, and Ron Blackham and Grandson, Kody Drake.
Ruth will be greatly missed and a piece of our family will not be the same without her.
Graveside Services are scheduled for Monday, June 24, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. at The Ely City Cemetery Ely, Nevada.
