Bliss and Reynolds named Elks Jr Students of the Month for March 2024

Sawyer Scott Bliss and Kiala Jean Reynolds have been named Students of the Month for March, according to Ely Elks Lodge #1469.

Bliss, age 14, is the son of Jamie Noyes and Cody Bliss of Ely. Reynolds, age 14, is the daughter of Jenna and Gabe Lopez of Ely. Both are 8th graders at Learning Bridge Charter School.

The Student of the Month program is sponsored by the Elks Lodge to bring recognition to outstanding students in the area.

Multiple achievement, citizenship, scholarship and leadership are the basis for selection of Students of the Month.

Bliss is a member of the Junior High Rodeo Club and is a National Rodeo Qualifier and a Junior High representative. He is also a member of 4-H, and a USA wrestling member.

Bliss is also active with the Fast Cash Rodeo and White Pine Productions and a member of the Steptoe Valley Trap and Skeet Club. His hobbies are welding, team roping, riding motorcycles, snowmobiling, hunting, automotive and small engine repair.

Reynolds has been active as a class representative in the Student Council, leadership, Junior High Rodeo representative, White Pine Rodeo Club and numerous community fundraisers. Her hobbies are riding horses for the Rodeo Club and spending time with her family and friends.
