BLM seeks input on Railroad Valley mineral exploration project

BATTLE MOUNTAIN  – The Bureau of Land Management is seeking public comment on a draft environmental assessment for proposed mineral exploration in Railroad Valley northeast of Tonopah in Nye County.

If approved, 3PL will drill across about 40 acres of public lands. The company would look for lithium, boron, and tungsten, as well as explore for leasable minerals, like sodium, potassium, and phosphate.

Additional information is available at the BLM National NEPA Register, where comments may be submitted through the “Participate Now” option, (preferred). The comment period will close May 19, 2025.
