ELY, Nev. – The Bureau of Land Management Ely District, Bristlecone Field Office is developing a Herd Management Area Plan (HMAP) for the Pancake Complex. A 30-day public scoping period will begin on June 13 and end on July 15, 2024.
An Evaluation Report (Report) has been prepared and is available for public review on the BLM ePlanning site at https://eplanning.blm.gov/eplanning-ui/project/2033135/510. The Report documents key issues that would aid in alternative development of the Pancake Complex (HMAP). Depending on funding and other competing priorities, the BLM intends to complete the process and adopt an HMAP for the Pancake Complex within approximately one year.
“The Pancake Complex HMAP will identify and set objectives for wild horses and their habitat in future years,” said Robbie McAboy, BLM Ely District Manager.
