With so much to do in White Pine: from mountain biking to barrel racing; rock hounding to robotics; geocaching, astronomy, quilting clubs, or community choirs; there is one sports group that hits the bullseye with indoor and outdoor gatherings and sportsmanship that embodies the true meaning of community driven purpose. The Bristlecone Bowmen is White Pine County’s official Archery Club that strikes the target for all age groups and skill levels. The White Pine Chamber of Commerce is proud to have The Bristlecone Bowmen as a member organization that distinguishes itself as a committed non-profit focused on the development, education, and advocacy of our city and county, through a highly competitive sport. Combining their love of our outdoors and the development of archery as a useful skill, the Bristlecone Bowmen have been actively teaching and building this program up for over a decade.
This coming June 8th and 9th, The Bristlecone Bowmen will host their 3D Archery Shoot on top of the Schell range to show off their skills and welcomes everyone to watch, participate, and support this widely attended competition. With 40 targets on Saturday, 20 targets on Sunday, food & drinks, smoker rounds, raffles, and custom belt buckles to the youth and adult winners, the event is a perfect opportunity to get introduced to the club. The group also has regular use ranges, both indoor and outdoor, for members, and once you’re a part of the organization, they are available to use at your leisure and with their leagues.
