Helping the business community grow, advocating for sustainability, lobbying for political support for economically sound policies, and promoting the quality of life that our restaurant owners, retailers, organization directors, educators, and community leaders all work to enhance is what the White Pine Chamber of Commerce is all about. For more than 100 years, the Chamber has been an ally to members and a bastion of business support services. You can join the Board of Trustees to help move the organization in the next era and provide a community service that benefits businesses and non-profits across the Great Basin.

Our Board now has a vacant seat open for an At-Large member. Business owners, board-experienced members of the community, industry leaders, economic contributors, and anyone interested in giving back is encouraged to apply.

As a board member, trustees interface with members of the business community, assist in the facilitation of support services, advocate for policy, promote the area and its economic well-being, and otherwise enjoy events, hosting networking meetings, engage new members and develop programs that will benefit the members that support this community building organization.

The White Pine Chamber of Commerce website has seen an incredible redevelopment over the last two years, in a complete overhaul, allowing Chamber Member businesses and organizations a greater ability to connect you to information and the community. Under the direction of the board, the website is one example of a multifaceted service to our members.

The Event’s Calendar is available to each and every Chamber Member to utilize and share dates and promotional materials for expanding the reach to broader audiences. This, combined with the new digitized and interactive map, places members, organizations, and our local assets into the phones as an easy to use app for navigating White Pine. The Trustees made this all possible through their leadership.

In addition, networking events, the Best of White Pine, Health Insurance plans, 401K retirement savings plans for members, business consultations, focus groups, secret shoppers, Chamber Buck Programs, as well as Business Resource Fairs, are also board driven initiatives that boost the business community and help build stronger economic supports for continued growth.
