Danny Oneal Ainsworth passed away on Sunday July 14, 2024, after a long battle with complex health issues. He was loved by many and surrounded by his family during his peaceful passing.
He was born February 20th, 1972 to Neal Ainsworth and Rebecca Saiz in Battle Mountain, Nevada.
Danny graduated from White Pine High, class of 1990. Upon graduation, he reported to Navy basic training. He served aboard USS Cape Cod AD 43. His first deployment was to the Persian Gulf, where he earned his Southeast Asia Campaign Medal for efforts as part of Operation Desert Storm. He was honorably discharged as Machinist Repairman/Fireman.
After he completed his service in the Navy, Danny worked as a heavy equipment operator and foreman. He loved his job and was good at it.
Danny’s hobbies included motorcycles, off-road vehicles and r/c cars. He was known by many for his killer smile and sense of humor.
He is survived by his daughter, Destinie Ainsworth and granddaughter Olivia of Ely, and his brother Jerry (Michelle) Ainsworth of Las Vegas.
He is preceded in death by his parents Neal and Rebecca.
Services will be held August 24th at Mountain Vista Chapel in Ely, NV at 11 AM, followed by Military honors and interment at the Ely City Cemetery.
