The Delores Manchester Memorial Flagpole is now complete and standing in the lawn of the Kinnear Library Building in McGill. Delores served as the McGill Town Council Secretary for over 38 years. She devoted all of her time to McGill and always had McGill projects for everyone to do.
Delores saved her own money for the flagpole, and for years had told the McGill Town Council, her nephew, and other individuals from McGill that she wanted it done. Even telling them up to a few days before she passed away last year. This was something she would always tell her nephew Scott Eric Lesher, friend and council board member Cynthia Angelopoulos, along with friend and McGill native David Miller, who together made sure this was completed.

The American Flag and the McGill Flag are now flying at the Kinnear Library in McGill in memory of Delores Manchester.
Not only is the American flag flying, it is the first time that the McGill flag is flying outdoors.
The project took some time to complete as it was all completed by volunteers who donated their time and even their equipment to complete the project. Many thanks go out to the following:
Antone Allen, Charley Hall, Buzz Rosevear, BJ Almberg, Chris Kamassee, Scott Laity, John O’Flaherty, Russell Gust, Elaine Blackham, and the McGill Volunteer Fire Department for letting us store the flagpole in their firehouse.
