Delores Regina Nardi, age 83 passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 14, 2023 in Ely, NV.
Delores was born on November 9, 1939, in Gold Road, Arizona To George and Cecilia Mejia Gomez. The family relocated to Riepetown, Nevada in 1942. Delores would attend school in Kimberly and Ruth, Nevada. Finishing her studies at the White Pine High school in Ely, Nevada. In 1961 the family made their final move to Ely, Nevada where She would live out her final days.
Delores met and married the love of her life Joseph E. Nardi on August 29, 1961. They would spend much of their time fulfilling their love to travel the country. Delores spent nearly 40 years working for the White Pine County School District.
In her younger years, she loved to play softball and run. One of her greatest passions, was cooking and baking from scratch. She was known to always be willing to satisfy cravings for both family and friends.
Crocheting was another passion that she would fill her spare time with, as well as reading anything she could get her hands on. On any given day, you could find Delores watching her favorite TV show Judge Judy, or some old scary movie.
Delores is survived by her son Tony (Dona), Daughter Debi Nardi and brother Mike (Wilma) Gomez of Reno, Nevada. Grandchildren Daniel, Antoni, Cecilia, Joseph, Thomas, David, Joe and Jasmine Nardi. Leslie Flores, Felicia Ferris, Samantha Southill and a host of Great-Grandchildren Great-Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Delores is preceded in death by her parents George Sr. and Cecilia, husband Joseph E, Brothers Joe, George Jr. and Jesse Gomez, sister Mary Camacho, Son Frank Nardi, granddaughter Mary Nardi, Daughter in Law Becky Nardi and two Great granddaughters lost at birth.
Services will be on July 31, 2023 at the Catholic church, 1100-1198 Ave I Ely, Nevada. Rosary at 10:30am and Mass at 11:00am. Luncheon to follow.
