DEN PTO hold Annual Chili Cook Off and Bingo Night

David E. Norman Elementary Parent Teacher Organization held their annual Chili Cook Off and Bingo Night on Thursday, February 27, 2025. This year we had six amazing food establishments bring chili and compete for the “Best Chili in White Pine’’. These included The Pickled Bakery, Biggins BBQ & More, TJ”S Steakhouse, Dos Viejas, Rolberto’s Mexican Food, and WPHS Culinary Club. Community members in attendance voted for their favorite chili and while it was very close, Dos Viejas came out the winner for the 2025 Best Chili in White Pine award. Dos Viejas is making a name in our community for their fantastic food, so check them out on Facebook for events around town.

Each food establishment generously donated their time and supplies to participate, as well as served their chili at the event. We are grateful for their willingness to support our families and share their talents.

Attendees also were able to play Bingo during the event for some amazing prizes. Generous donors in our community were Economy Drug, Nevada Northern Railroad, The Flower Basket, Rolberto’s Mexican Food, White Pine Aquatic Center. Lisa Peterson, C-A-L Ranch Stores, Melissa Crump, and The Bread Nook. Many prizes were awarded and a fun time was had by all. DEN PTO is extremely grateful to the participants, volunteers and donors for this event. We couldn’t do these things without them!
