Elks Hoop Shoot District Champions

The Ely Elks Lodge is pleased to announce the 53rd annual Elks Hoop Shoot contest.

Two boys and one girl, ages 8-13 won the second round of competition in the Elks National Hoop Shoot free throw contest on January 25 and have been named Central District Champions.

Boys 8-9: Ryquinn Ewell of Ely won first place in the Central District contest.

Boys 10-11: Cooper Drumgoole of Ely won third place in the Central District.

Girls 10-11: Lidia Boone of Ely won first place in the Central District contest.

First place trophies were awarded to one boy and one girl in each of the three categories: ages 8-9; 10-11 and 12-13.

Ewell and Boone will now advance to the NSEA State Hoop Shoot finals in Hawthorne, Nevada on February 8, 2025 where they will compete with other winners from throughout the State.
