In what is planned to be an annual White Pine holiday tradition, Ely Children’s Community Theater will stage a performance of “A Christmas Carol.” With a cast of fourteen local children, director Loretta Wallace will present Charles Dickens’ classic play of ghosts, redemption and the Christmas spirit. All the classic characters, Bob Cratchit, Tiny Tim, Jacob Marley, the three Spirits, Mr. and Mrs. Fezziwig and more will all take their places to teach miser Ebenezer Scrooge how to keep Christmas well.
Performances will take place at Ely United Methodist Church (1100 South Pioche Hwy.) at 6:00 p.m., on Friday, December 13, 2024, with a matinee performance at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, December 14, 2024. This short play, adapted from Dickens’ novel by Stephen Bishop, will last approximately 30 minutes, making it the perfect prelude to set the mood for the Fezziwig Ball, which takes place after the Saturday showing.
