On a dark and stormy March night, gather your wits, don your deerstalker cap, polish your magnifying glass, redden your herrings and channel your favorite detective to try to solve, not one but, two murder mysteries, as Ely Children’s Community Theater presents a double feature performance of two comedy murder mystery plays.
In two classic mystery settings, casts of local children will present the film noir parody Death of a Dead Guy and the Victorian inspired Murder Mystery at the Murder Mystery. When you’re not laughing at the inept antics of the amateur sleuths, you’ll be scratching your head trying to figure out how, or even if, the butler did it.
Ely Children’s Community Theater is a non-profit ministry of the Ely United Methodist Church. Past productions include Broadway musicals, radio plays aired on KDSS 92.7 fm, and Compact Shakespeare in the park. Sponsors have included Pattern Energy, Robinson Nevada Mining Company, KDSS 92.7 fm, Inline Music Productions, Ely Rotary, Ely Lions, Beta Sigma Phi and Economy Drug.
Performances take place at 6:00 p.m., on March 14, March 15, March 16, 2024, with an additional special matinee performance at 2:00 p.m., on March 16, 2024. All performances will take place at the Ely United Methodist Church at 1100 South Pioche Hwy., Ely. Tickets are $8 per adult, with children (14 and under) free.
