The Ely Elks Lodge is pleased to announce the 53rd Annual Elks Hoop Shoot contest.
One boy and one girl, ages 8-13 won the third round of competition in the Elks National Hoop Shoot free throw contest on February 8 and have been named State Hoop Shoot Champions.
Ryquinn Ewell and Lidia Boone are the Elks State Hoop Shoot Champions and will now advance to finals on February 22, 2025.
Boys 8-9: Ryquinn Ewell was awarded 1st place in the NSEA State meet. Girls 10-11: Lidia Boone was awarded 3rd place in the NSEA State meet.
First, second and third place trophies were awarded to one boy and one girl in each of the age categories.
Ryquinn Ewell will now advance to the Western Regional Hoop Shoot final in Boulder City, NV., on February 22, 2025 where he will compete with other winners from California, Hawaii, Utah, and Arizona.
The Hoop Shoot is free to all participants and provides youth an opportunity to compete and to connect.
