Mt. Wheeler Power currently has 100+ ornaments hanging on our holiday tree in the lobby of our Ely office. Each ornament has the Christmas wishes of a child in our Santa’s Elves program. Each year the program provides toys, clothing, and other necessities to local families.
The program has been in place for over 30 years, and while it has changed over the years, the intent of the program has always been to lend a helping hand to families who are financially struggling with the additional expenses of the holiday season.
The tree at Mt. Wheeler power still has an abundance of ornaments hanging on it with the deadline to have the gifts turned in fast approaching.
You can pick up an ornament at our Ely office at 1600 Great Basin Blvd., Monday through Friday 8 am until 4:30 pm through December 1st. Monetary donations are also helpful and will be accepted through the end of the year.
This program is not a government-funded program, we rely on the generosity of our community to purchase items or to donate financially.
