Aiden Jayce Graves and Krosby Shay-Ann Cox have been named Junior Students of the Month for October, according to Ely Elks Lodge #1469.
Graves, age 13, is the son of Damon and Dawn Graves of Ely. Cox, age 14, is the daughter of Taura Derrick and Craig Cox of Ely. Both are 8th graders at White Pine Middle School.

The Junior Student of the Month program is sponsored by the Elks Lodge in an effort to bring recognition to outstanding students in the area.
Multiple achievement, citizenship, scholarship and leadership are the basis for selection of Junior Students of the Month.
Graves has been active in football for three years, intramural basketball for two years, kindness crew and art and advanced art for two years. His hobbies are art, gaming and school sports.
Cox has been active in leadership and as a participant in Unlimited camp and Camp Hobe. She is also active in accelerated math, a passive writing district finalist in the 7th grade and the Cinderella Miss program. Her hobbies are reading, sketching and fictional writing.
