Thomas Patrick Griffin and Maegan Jean Fuller have been named Students of the Month for November of 2023, according to Ely Elks Lodge #1469.
Griffin, age 18, is the son of Ashlie Griffin Cooper and Kenny Cooper of Ely. Fuller, age 18, is the daughter of Jody and Heath Korell of Ely. Both are seniors at White Pine High School and will graduate with the Class of 2024.
The Student of the Month program is sponsored by the Elks Lodge to bring recognition to outstanding students in the area.
Multiple achievement, citizenship, scholarship, and leadership are the basis for selection of Students of the Month.
Griffin has been active in football, basketball, and track. His hobbies are sports, being outdoors and hanging out.
Fuller has been active in volleyball as captain for three years. She was her junior class president and is the president of her senior class. She is a member of the National Honor Society, peer leading and prom committee. Her hobbies are reading, cake decorating, video games, art, painting, and baking.
