You’re invited for our free upcoming Healthy Teens Program for ages 10-12 hosted by the Family Resource Center.
“Promoting Health Among Teens” is a lively, evidence-based, age-appropriate program, proven effective in reducing the risk of teen pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections, and HIV/AIDS. This program incorporates medically accurate information along with crucial knowledge on how to identify and handle social pressures. Youth learn about adolescence, hygiene, responsibility, avoiding risky behaviors, and building knowledge and confidence.
Permission slips are required, signed by parent/guardian, before class. For planning purposes, parents will need to pre-register by calling 775-753-7352, texting 775-397-1874, or emailing teenhealth@elkofrc.org.
Youth who complete the program will receive a FREE backpack filled with school supplies!
This class will be on May 4th, from 10:00am – 2:00pm at the White Pine County Library located at 950 Campton Street – Ely, NV.
