Tyler Divine Pierce and Lydia Love Kunz have been named Students of the Month for February 2024, according to Ely Elks Lodge #1469.
Pierce, age 18, is the son of Jonathan Pierce and Alisa Williams of Ely. Kunz, age 18, is the daughter of Daren and Crystal Kunz of Ely. Both are Seniors at White Pine High School and will graduate with the Class of 2024.
The Student of the Month program is sponsored by the Elks Lodge in an effort to bring recognition to outstanding students in the area.
Lydia Love Kunz and Tyler Divine Pierce have been named the Ely Elks Students of the Month for February, 2024.
Multiple achievement, citizenship, scholarship and leadership are the basis for selection of Students of the Month.
Pierce has been active in track and football. His hobbies are videogames, guitar, learning the Japanese language and culture, hiking and working out.
Kunz is a member of the National Honor Society and serves as Treasurer. She has been active in varsity basketball, varsity cross country and track, and a member of the All-State Choir and Honor Choir. Her hobbies are trail running, hiking, skiing, teaching her two dogs Moneycutt and Rosie, new tricks, reading and playing video games with her brothers.
