Mt. Wheeler Power Board of Director District 4 seat is up for election. We have two qualified applicants seeking the position. In an attempt to elevate your voting experience, we now offer Online Voting. Your online voting access is included in your paper ballot package which was mailed to all District 4 members on March 1, 2024. You can also find access by visiting our website at www.mwpower.net.
District 4 members’ active participation is crucial. We genuinely appreciate your dedication to the voting process.
As outlined in the Mt. Wheeler Power bylaws, all members enjoy the flexibility to cast their votes either by mail or online. We strongly encourage embracing the simplicity and swiftness of the online voting platform for a seamless and efficient voting experience.

For those who prefer the traditional mail-in method please ensure your completed ballot is mailed promptly. It must be postmarked no later than April 5, 2024, to be counted.
Mt. Wheeler Power has partnered with a third-party elections company to distribute and process all aspects of the 2024 board election. For full confidentiality of your vote, no employee, member or associate of Mt. Wheeler Power will be involved in the processing of your vote.
Bio for District 4 Board of Director incumbent, Cody Odgers:
Cody was born in Henderson, Nevada and moved to Ely in 2011. He graduated from White Pine High School in 2013. Since then, he has continued raising retail hay on his farm in Steptoe Valley with his wife and 2 children. He has been the Young Farmer and Rancher Representative on the White Pine County Farm Bureau since 2016. He has also been serving the community on the White Pine County Natural Resource Advisory Board, Central Nevada Regional Water Authority, and the Mt. Wheeler Power Board of Directors. He has worked diligently to represent the members in District 4, and he looks forward to continuing to serve this community.
Bio for District 4 Board of Director nominee, Bernadett Lister:
My name is Bernadette Lister. I was born in Ely, NV. and raised in Butte Valley on my family’s ranch. I graduated from White Pine High and then moved away for school but returned with my husband to start our family. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Science and I am an avid supporter of education as I have spent the last 15 years in the public school sectors.
I have five amazing kids who all have big dreams and have experienced firsthand the power of community service and volunteering for various events, activities, and programs throughout the community.
I have been a lifelong supporter of FFA, 4-H and all things agriculture. I have held positions on the PLO, served as 4-H Ambassador Leader, PTCO President, and Student Council Advisor.
I enjoy being an active part of the community, serving others in my various leadership roles. My goal each day is to continually look for opportunities to add context to my soup bowl of life.
