Kittens R2D3 and Kennecatt are exploring their forever home at Nevada Northern Railway.
NNRy and Bristlecone Animal Aid Rescue And Xpress (BAARX) partnered in May to find a kitten to fill the furry footprints left by the passing of shop cat Dirt in 2023. “Operation Kitty” resulted in not one, but two kittens – R2D3 and brother Kennecatt.

The pair made their NNRy debut that month but were too young to take up fulltime residency. BAARX agreed to foster the felines, ensuring they would be fully vetted, neutered and successful graduates of Cat 101.
The duo last Saturday traveled to NNRy where they are now acclimating to the sights, sounds, and smells of their permanent home via a cat condo and support from resident shop cat, DJ.
