Sheriff’s Office recognizes dispatcher on POST training

The White Pine County Sheriff’s Office would like to congratulate Dispatcher Tawnya Sperling on her recent accomplishment. Tawnya recently received her Nevada POST Dispatch certification.

She completed the training through Nevada POST which required her to complete classes in understanding State, and Federal Law Enforcement agencies, Understanding Federal and Nevada Courts. Proper procedures when dealing with missing children, adults, runaways, and AMBER alerts. Dispatch communications on handling calls for service including 911 calls. She also received training in high stress calls, such as fatal vehicle accidents, officer involved shootings, calls that involve weapons and injured people. Many more classes were required and at the end of the training she was required to take her certification test, which she passed and received her certification.

The Sheriff’s Office recognizes her dedication to the citizens of White Pine County and values her as an employee. Once again congratulations on all your hard work.
