Silver State racer gives back to Lund School

The Silver State Classic Race is an exciting event that brings business into the community. It also brings racers from all around the world. The racers leave here with stories to tell all of their friends, whether it be about the race or the days of events surrounding it. One racer has a pretty great story to tell regarding his experience with the Lund Volunteer Fire Department. On the last leg of the race, he noticed something was wrong, something just didn’t feel right. He continued on and finished the race but then realized he was having a medical emergency. That is where the Lund EMT’s stepped in to help and stabilized him, so he was able to leave and get further medical attention.

The racer, who would like to remain anonymous, said he was so grateful to them he wanted to give back. He asked if he could donate money to the Lund community and then decided on donating to the school. He wanted to make sure it didn’t just go to the district but directly to the school of the community that helped him. Also stating how much he appreciates the town, letting them drive through at 6 am and supporting the race in general. Last week Bunny Hill presented Principal Tim Moser with a check for $3000.00 for the last three races the kind racer has ran here. He says as long as he’s racing, he will be giving the school $1000.00 dollars a race.
