For the loyal and long-time customers of TAPROOT, and to the entire community the Bristlecone Tribune wishes to introduce its new owners; a local, tight knit, family of four who purchased the established business along with THE SPACE (Taproot’s neighboring sister-business). Desiree and Vince Ramirez along with Alexas and Riley Farrell will continue to serve delicious delights, provide entertainment, and offer other services as well.
Opened approximately three years prior, and located at 301 Aultman St. the original owners decided to sell Taproot/The Space for personal reasons. In a sit-down interview with new-owners Desiree and Alexas, they shared their reasons for purchasing the two businesses and let us in on plans for new changes, and also for no changes at all.
Desiree Ramirez informed us that her husband, Vince, has always wanted to own his own bar, and with The Space having a full service bar already in-place the decision to purchase has fulfilled his dream. Her daughter-in-law, Alexas, has always wanted a business to call her own, and Taproot was the answer to her dream. It couldn’t have worked-out any better!
Taproot is open seven days a week, Monday through Saturday from 7:00am – 6:30 pm and Sunday 8:00am – 3:00pm. The families first, official day of being business owners wasSeptember 1st. All items on Taproot’s previous-original menu are still being offered, and haven’t changed. Breakfast items will now be served all-day and will include the same delicious coffees and pastries along with newly added items such as bagels and avocado toast. In the near future a kids menu will be added along with drinks such as “Dirty Sodas,” and more flavors to choose from when ordering various treats. Desiree says “the possibilities are endless.”
The Space offers entertainment such as live music from local artists, a full service bar, and even rental space for birthdays, baby showers, receptions, and more. They are open on Friday and Saturday from 5:00pm – 12:00am and there will be a variety of alcohol and non-alcohol beverages to choose from. Future plans will consist of Karaoke, football, UFC, and more live entertainment.
