It is with sorrow in our hearts that we announce the passing of Timothy (Tim) Edward Reeves. Tim passed away in his home on October 16, 2024 at the age of 73.
Tim was born on October 5, 1951 in Avenal, California to Marlene and Kelton (Red) Reeves. He was the eldest of 7 children. He graduated from Avenal High School in Avenal, California in 1970. He lived in California for the most part until his move to Nevada in 1982.
Tim moved to Ely, Nevada in 1985 where he met his wife, Charlotte. Tim and Charlotte combined their families into one and raised 5 children together.
Tim worked as a welder since his graduation from high school. He was initiated as a BTJ Steamfitter in Local 342 out of Oakland, California March 4, 1974. He worked in the local oilfields Petro Source and Mac Oil. He started his own welding business, Tim’s Welding, in the early 1990’s. He made many lifelong friends in California, Nevada, Utah, Texas and Arizona on his work travels.
Tim enjoyed any and all outdoor activities with his favorites being hunting, fishing and camping. He was an avid hunter and fisherman in the northern Nevada hills and lakes. He loved spending time with his family and spoiling his grandchildren.
Tim is survived by his wife of 40 years Charlotte Reeves. Children; Duffy (Sam) McDonough, Shealene McDonough, Amanda (Eddie) Reeves Lemire, and Jeremey McDonough. Grandchildren; Samantha Lemire, Chesney Reeves, Marlene Reeves, Nadia McDonough, Karmen Reeves, Ayah Coogler, Makenzie McDonough, Max McDonough, Kya Lemire, Sonia McDonough and Liam McDonough. Great grandson due in January 2025.
Siblings; Jim (Kathy) Reeves, Kim Prettenhofer, Sherry (Mike) Oettinger.
Sister-in-law Leatha Reeves, brother-in-law Rick Nunn, several nieces and nephews.
Tim is preceded in death by his beloved son Jedediah Edward Reeves (1981-2004).
Parents Kelton (Red) and Marlene Reeves. Siblings; Doug Reeves, John Reeves and Keli Reeves Nunn.
A memorial will be held in the spring of 2025. Details to be announced at a later date.
