Reading is important because it enhances cognitive skills, expands knowledge, and promotes mental well-being. It improves concentration, memory, and vocabulary, while also fostering empathy, creativity, and critical thinking. Reading can also reduce stress and improve overall well-being. The list below explains exactly how reading benefits your overall well-being:

One of White Pine County Library’s many missions is to provide reading to all community members with access to quality reading. One way to attain this mission is to hold a book sale.
There will be a used book sale in the library’s conference room on Friday, April 18 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday April 19, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. The library is located at 950 Campton Street across from Courthouse Park. For more information, call 775-293-6900.
Any proceeds for the sale of the books will go to benefit the library.
