White Pine County Sheriff’s Deputies honored

The White Pine County Sheriff’s Office would like to recognized Deputy Andy Overson and Deputy Julian Fuentes.

Both Deputies were honored and recognized by the Office of Traffic Safety at a training summit held this last September in Las Vegas, NV.

Deputy Overson was recognized as the outstanding coordinator for organizing the traffic safety events held in White Pine County.

Deputy Fuentes was recognized for his participation in the events and enforcing Nevada traffic laws.

The Sheriff’s Office applies for a grant each year from the Office of Traffic Safety. The monies received allow Deputies to work overtime shifts focusing on traffic related problems, such as DUI, pedestrian safety, speeding, seatbelt use and distracted driving.

The Sheriff’s Office appreciates these Deputies dedication to the program and once again congratulates them for their work performance.
